George Butterworth collected Lumps of Plum Pudding from Ted Gibbs. We don’t know what instrument he played, if any. Clive Carey mentions Edward Gibbs, aged 73, working with Mr [Brecknell] at Kingham and singing I’m a Rover. He names him and Thomas Wright as “foremen” or masters of the morris.
