Keith Glover

Keith Glover sang The Queen of Sweet May to Gwilym Davies in the 1980s. He is a Gloucestershire singer who for many years ran the Cheltenham Folk Club.  In his time he has been a Morris dancer and Mummer and a great influence on local folk music in the 60s and 70s.

Keith Glover who has three children and five grandchildren, started his career in social services in the 1960s, working his way up to managing residential care.

Since retiring in 2004 he continued to volunteer, spending a day a week with disabled adults at Berkeley Court in Cheltenham, another day with the Raynsford Group and also works with Building Circles in Gloucester. In 2007 and 2009 he was nominated for the Pride of Gloucestershire Community Awards as a Caring Hero in the category sponsored by 2gether Foundation NHS Trust for his voluntary work with adults with learning difficulties.
