TatterSmith : Cathy Tattersfield and Jess Arrowsmith. Two strong voices, with rich harmonies, subtle arrangements and occasional fiddle, whistle, and concertina, give an airing to a collection of English traditional songs, many from the GlosTrad website, which have been performed little or not at all, so that others might share them. Jess Arrowsmith of the Melrose Quartet and many other ensembles needs no introduction.
‘As an adapter of traditional material, Cathy Tattersfield displays a deft hand and thoughtful personal style. She is also a sensitive instrumentalist whose accompaniments give spacious and creative support to solo and ensemble work’ – Nancy Kerr

GlosTrad Folk Radio Podcasts
Gloucestershire Traditions has launched a radio podcast service. Inspired by the archive, these 25 minute programmes explore different aspects of folk music from the county.
You will hear the stories behind the material in the GlosTrad archive. Guest artists perform their favourites and folk researchers tell their tales of collecting and tracking down songs and tunes. Along the way we hear remarkable field recordings as well as concert performances from some of the leading musicians in the folk world today.
The programmes can be listened to online, or downloaded to your computer. You can also subscribe through your favourite podcast service, e.g. iTunes, and get them automatically sent to your device as they are released.
