This delightful song is actually a broken token ballad without the broken token, although Mrs Wiggett did also know a broken token ballad that she sang to Sharp.  Despite its appeal, it is quite rare in English tradition, having been collected a handful of times in Hampshire, once in Buckinghamshire and this once in Gloucestershire.
