Gomme, Alice Bertha

Alice Gomme (1853-1938), (later Lady Gomme) was a founder member of the Folklore Society in 1878.  In 1894 and 1898 she published, in 2 volumes, The Traditional Games of England, Scotland and Ireland.  She gathered songs from all over from contibutors, including from Gloucestershire.
