The “Single Gloucester” project comes to a magnificent climax with a day of concerts, workshops and talks in Gloucester on Sunday 30th October. Local performers alongside top names including John Spiers and Emily Portman. New concert events:

The ‘Glostrad Road Show’ will be presenting songs and tunes from the county at the Winchcombe Folk Club on Tuesday 5th April from 8.00 p.m. Entrance is FREE but a collection will be made.

The ‘Glostrad Road Show” will also form part of the Nailsworth Arts Festival on Monday 23d May. Details to follow.

A Harvest Home – A celebration of Gloucestershire Music & Song

A Gloucestershire Blinder – A celebration of music and song collected in Gloucestershire. Featuring The Bristol Ceilidh Quartet, The Vogwells, PuzzleJug, Shepherd’s Crook, Delfryn, Bygonz, Richard Chidlaw, Michael Gardener and FTJ.

Imagine all of the traditional songs and tunes from Gloucestershire, available at the touch of a button.

Over the past 3 years a dedicated team has been scouring the public and private archives around the world for songs and tunes collected in Gloucestershire, then transcribing the material in order to put it all on-line.

This concert marks the launch of the new GlosTrad archive. There will be familiar songs, and some that have not been heard since they were collected over 100 years ago. Includes rare field recordings and video.
