Cecil Sharp visited Mrs Richards aged 78 at Little Sodbury on 2 April 1907 when she sang Baffled Knight, A Brisk Young Sailor and Creeping Jane.
There are no records in the 1901 and 1911 censuses of anyone named Richards living in Little Sodbury at that time so her background is unclear.
