Crow-Clapping Song

Performer: Chidlaw, Richard
Place Collected: Cheltenham
Date collected: 1980

Roud Number: 1730

This is more of a chant than a song, and versions of it have been found in many places in England. Mr Chidlaw learnt this song from Mr N H K Pilsworth who in turn learnt it from his father Bill Pilsworth who had sung it in the fields of Petty France and Badminton as his first job.
